The Department of Economics at Shippensburg University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2023. We seek a macroeconomist or applied microeconomist with a field in environmental economics. The teaching load is a mix of principles courses and upper-level electives, consisting of 12 credits per semester. Candidates should be capable of offering instruction both in-person and online. Teaching assignments may include nights and/or weekends. In addition, faculty members are expected to perform other duties as assigned in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Association of Pennsylvania State College & University Faculties (APSCUF) and the PA State System of Higher Education (PASSHE).


Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Economics from an accredited institution by August 2023 and be able to provide evidence of excellence in teaching and research. As part of a successful on-campus interview process, candidates will be expected to provide a demonstration of teaching effectiveness and evidence of understanding diverse populations.
