JOB SUMMARY

Our beautiful new 88-key SpringHill Suites features a conference center, full-liquor license and over 3,000 sq ft of flexible meeting space. The Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager in all aspects as requested, with emphasis on administrative, brand updates and hotel oversight in the absence of the General Manager. Some duties and tasks include:

  • Responsibility over front desk operations and associates.
  • Trains, coaches, inspires and mentors to develop associates.
  • Assists in interviewing and screening applicants.
  • Assists and ensures new hiring procedures are in compliance.
  • Resolves guest complaints following brand resolution standards.
  • Assists GM with strategic planning to achieve short and long-term goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum two years' experience in a hotel AGM position, or similar hotel management position, preferably in a Marriott brand.
  • Marriott hotel and knowledge of Fosse PMS is essential.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the hotel, including days, some evenings nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Advanced proficiency in various computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and other software to meet the needs of the job.
  • Excellent literacy skills necessary for reports, administrative, data interpretation, with some keen understanding of event management.

Role model leadership skill that consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism, quality guest service and anticipation of guest needs.

  • Must be reliable, punctual and committed to joining a team.
  • Some shift work may be scheduled based on the business needs.
  • Shift coverage when scheduled associates are not available.
  • Assists in setting-up and taking-down conference room lay-out.
  • Assists in welcoming meeting planners at the start of events.
  • Takes initiative to support other departments when there is staff shortage.
  • Must reside within a 45 minute drive of the Willow Park area
