The Director of Revenue Integrity reports directly to the Sr Director of Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO) providing leadership and direction for all coding/charge capture processes and across the enterprise. The Director must have a thorough understanding of the entire revenue cycle process, including front-end registration and point-of -care processes.The Director is responsible for improving processes, streamlining procedures, and maximizing productivity as it relates to coding, charge capture & reconciliation, ensuring maximization of revenue while maintaining billing compliance. The Director supports the Sr Director, RCO with the development of policies and procedures, periodic review and revision of policies and procedures as it relates to this section of the RCO. Inherent in the position is the ability to work effectively with clinical departments to ensure timely, accurate entry of charges and providing constructive feedback to clinicians as it relates to coding efforts. Follows state and federal regulations as well as internal policies and guidelines while analyzing coding information and medical records. Will be responsible for managing a large team of certified coders providing medical coding and surgical code abstraction. May participate in provider education programs on coding compliance. Will be responsible for ensuring defined strategies and programs are implemented within the coding team, coordinate large scale projects, support technical/operational procedures and processes, drives outlined goals and objectives, and tracks performance. Provides extensive education and advice regarding ICD 10 and CPT coding to both Coding staff and physicians. Work closely with Professional Integrity office to ensure appropriate reviews and internal controls are in place that prevent inaccurate billing, potential problems and questionable practices. Inherent in the position is the ability to work effectively with clinical providers and support staff as well as Department Administrators and clinic administration. Communicates regularly with providers and support staff regarding delinquent dictations, insufficient or missing teaching physician attestations and other required missing data elements needed for accurate and timely billing of physician services. Provide faculty with extensive education, assistance and feedback regarding ICD 10 and CPT coding.

License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State Required
Education/Certification Required Bachelor’s Degree in business or health care administration or experience commensurate with the listed job requirements
MBA Preferred Work Experience and Additional Information 7- 10 years progressively responsible management experience working within a medical group billing department in a healthcare setting, experience must also include prior people management/supervisory experience.
