Full Job Description
This position will support the NEACO's daily operations. The work requires attention to detail, ability to quickly move between tasks and strong organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares purchase orders and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
- Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
- Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
- Develops and maintains good vendor relationships.
- Performs delivery assurance responsibilities.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Requires US citizenship or a US Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes; to include procurement, sourcing, supplier performance.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong people / motivational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
