Assistant Athletic Director Job at Penn State University
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The purpose of this position is to assure smooth operation of Penn State New Kensington athletics and help develop ways to grow and improve the athletics program.
This position entails interaction with various departments at
PSNK and will require :
- strong communication with coaches
- securing transportation and hotels
- securing the attendance of officials, trainers, and workers for home games
- working with manager to analyze the need for and order team equipment
- oversee and coordinating the hiring process of student employees
- coordinating the cash advance meal money for all teams,
- reviewing and managing the budget
- processing entries for expenditures and travel in budget management software
- timekeeper for athletic center staff in workday
- process SAP Concur transactions for all athletic personal
- attend scheduled events when needed
- reporting for team fundraising
- engaging in community service with student-athletes
- engaging in multiple committees on-campus
This position must analyze current processes to ensure compliance with PSUAC, USCAA, and PSU regulations and to improve the efficiency of the department.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
