Advertised Job Summary
The School of Accounting in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina is seeking two high-potential faculty members who aspires to excellence in research and teaching for a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning August 16, 2024. Teaching loads and summer support are competitive with other top-level accounting positions. All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.
Required Education and Experience
This position requires a PhD in accounting by the start date of employment. Candidates for the Assistant rank must have the potential to publish their research in top-tier accounting journals and the potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates for the Associate rank must have an earned PhD in accounting, at least 5 years of relevant academic experience beyond the PhD by the start date of employment, multiple publications in elite accounting journals in the last 5 years, a record of excellence in teaching, plus demonstrated expertise in cutting edge methodology and a focus on experimental/behavioral research.
Preferred Qualifications
The School of Accounting has a strategic focus on experimental/behavioral accounting research.
