This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently looking for a qualified candidate for the role of Assembly Operator.
The role will be onsite at our Newton, IA plant. The Assembly Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to produce kits, assemblies, or packaging. An operator may operate various hand air and/or electric tools as required and perform related tasks. Depending on production needs the Assembly Operator may be required to do housekeeping activities.
1st Shift
M-F 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
$17.45 an hr
Your responsibilities will include
Works under the direction of team lead or production supervisor/manager- Follows standard work documentation /instructions
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Keeps production records as required production counts, scrap counts etc.
- May have to retrieve parts from designated storage locations using a cart or manual floor jack
- Keeps work area clean and orderly
- Wears proper PPE (Personal protective equipment) for the job
- This role requires standing for up to 8 hours and lifting weight up to 25 lbs
Minimum requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred skills and experiences
Strong communication skills
