About this role:
We are seeking an Associate to join the US Wealth Advisory Communications Review team. This team is tasked with the review, approval, FINRA filing and record-keeping of mutual fund, social media and online tools, and other marketing and communications, ensuring that such content is compliant with various regulations and BlackRock policies. The Associate will work in close partnership with sales, marketing, product strategy and compliance groups and FINRA staff.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain both depth and breadth of knowledge of the US Wealth Advisory business, including products and strategies.
Job responsibilities:
- Review, provide advice on, and approve marketing and communications content including advertising, market commentary, product (mutual fund emphasis), web, online tools, social media, thought leadership and sales presentations
- Develop and apply a robust knowledge of FINRA advertising rules, ’40 Act and ’33 Act communications standards
- Cultivate and deepen expertise in the US Wealth Advisory and BlackRock ecosystem and investment strategies and products, including mutual funds, model portfolios, sustainable investing, equities and fixed income
- Lead special projects
- Conduct US Wealth Advisory communications training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of communications review for a broker-dealer, mutual fund, or ETF business
- Strong familiarity with FINRA and SEC advertising rules
- Series 7 registration required; Series 63 and 24 preferred
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; should be solutions driven, confident, and a highly motivated colleague with outstanding integrity
- Strong analytical skills, clear writing style, acute attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships within the firm, and to coordinate thoughtfully across teams
- Proven track record of driving results and working collaboratively through difficult problems in a fast-paced environment
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $109,250 – $130,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
