The Position:

Skyhawks is seeking a self-motivated individual with a growth mind-set, strong people management skills and who is highly organized.​ The newly hired Area Manager will be responsible for leading the Northeast Puget Sound region which extends south to Snohomish area, east to North Bed, north to Renton and west to Bellevue.​ The ideal candidate for this position should be a charismatic leader as well as a strong team player.​ You have a passion for youth development, recreational athletics and our mission of teaching life skills through sports.​ You will grow and implement the most popular youth sports programs in the country.​ You must be disciplined enough to work from a home office and enjoy working in a fun, fast-paced environment!

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain year-round relationships with existing accounts and execute a strategic growth plan for potential new accounts. ​Account types include corporate partners, school districts, local and regional recreation departments and various other youth-serving organizations.
  • Collaborate with local community partners to plan and implement programming across all four seasons
  • Work closely with staff sourcing team to recruit and hire up to 150 part-time staff annually
  • Train, lead, motivate and manage a large, part-time coaching workforce
  • Manage programming, partnerships and coaching staff via our in-house management platform
  • Handling customer and community relations on a local level
  • Growing your business on an annual basis through internal and external sales
  • Partner with leadership on establishing local budgets and goals per season, per year
  • Domestic travel is required twice per year for team meetings and company-wide conference

Requirements:

Due to our focus on customer service and lasting client relations, Skyhawks will only consider well-rounded individuals for employment. Employees must be able to master not only the business-related aspects of the industry, but also have the ability to work well with multi-faceted customers in a professional atmosphere. ​The following are specific attributes that are considered during our screening process:

  • Proven management experience (2+​ years or proven developmental track record)
  • Internal and external sales experience (preferably with long sales cycles)
  • Experience with or interest in partner account management
  • Athletic experience in at least one sport that we offer – Coaching experience a plus
  • Ownership mentality, self-motivated, you view remote work as a benefit and advantage
  • Strategic thinker, responsive, energetic, flexible, adaptable
  • Superior communication skills (public speaking, presentation, email, text, phone)
  • Proven ability to build a trusted advisor relationship with client, and possess strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills
  • Internet and computer skills are a must, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have home access to high-speed internet
  • Undergraduate degree preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual base salary range is $45,000 - $55,000
  • 3x per year commission plan based on profit share of eligible winter, spring and fall seasons
  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • Mileage reimbursement for all work-related driving
  • Fixed cell phone reimbursement

Job Location:

Position can be based anywhere in the greater Bellevue/Issaquah/Kirkland/Redmond area. Skyhawks will not support relocation expenses.
