Position overview:

Building on our rich history and strength in legacy markets, Tim Hortons USA is preparing for significant expansion. The Area Franchise Lead is responsible for managing franchisee relationships across Tim Hortons USA's new markets, with particular initial emphasis on restaurants in Texas and Georgia. The position will take leadership of managing additional new market entries, with a goal of supporting restaurant owners profitability, ensuring a great guest experience and efficient, scalable restaurant operations. The Area Franchise Lead reports directly to the Vice President & General Manager, Tim Hortons USA. In addition, the position works with other functions within the organization including Marketing, Communications, Development, Operations and Supply Chain. The Area Franchise Leader will manage a growing team of Franchise Performance Managers over a large geographic area.

Responsibilities:

Strong Franchisee Partnership

  • Serves as the key point of contact for brand initiatives that affect franchisees & their restaurants, providing support & guidance across multiple functions: development, operations, supply chain, marketing, franchising, and more
  • Liaise between the Restaurant Support Center and franchisees to deliver the best of the brand and of RBI to our franchisee partners
  • Critical thought partner to restaurant owners and their teams on all matters to support brand love, profitable growth and return on investment

Manages Projects for New Market Entries

  • Controls timeline and actions needed for ensuring strong new market launches
  • Cross-functional liaison between different areas involved in the launch to ensure timely, efficient service and expertise
  • Develops effective cadence of visits, routines and follow up's from market conceptual stage through new market launch into sustained, scaled growth

Improves Restaurant Operations

  • Problem-solves root causes of operational opportunities across franchisee organizations and implements change and growth via business reviews, action plans, routines, restaurant visits and other tactics
  • Supports and coaches franchisees to improve restaurant profitability and guest experience, ultimately driving return on investment for franchise partners, while building Tim Hortons into the strongest, most enduring brand it can be
  • Can speak to tactical restaurant operations, equipment and supply chain matters to enhance performance

Qualifications:

  • Relationship-building and partnership
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external partners
  • Sense of urgency and tenacity for finding solutions and supporting franchisees
  • Ability to set and achieve vision for scale & growth, beginning with one restaurant in a market
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years' of related professional experience
  • Preferred experience in Restaurant Operations, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
