General Overview:
The Information Technology (IT) group plays a critical role in supporting various technology needs for multiple operating companies located across the country. As a partner to multiple companies, we are devoted to solving strategic and tactical challenges every day with best-in-class solutions.

Application Specialist:
The primary directive for this position is to provide exemplary customer service with a continuous sense for urgency and an attention detail. Each interaction shall endeavor to promote confidence in our ability to achieve first-response resolution, on time, every time. The position shall establish & maintain working relationships with stakeholders and business management. The position shall provide sound technical & process leadership for all areas of the business. The position will be required to create and foster positive relationships with business resources and develop a full understanding of core business processes, customers, and product lines that will influence the development of information technology initiatives and investments that maximize profitability, efficiency, that will differentiate Jones from our competition.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build solid, trustworthy, working relationships with product stakeholders and business management.
• Develop the company’s strategy around information technology to be used for the growth and enhancement of the business
• Ensure that all business applications deployed meets or exceeds best practices for data security.
• Facilitate the creation of business cases where the implementation of information technology will produce a positive impact on the profitability and/or efficiency of the business.
• Coordinate, manage, and monitor activity related to software application projects within the business.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels between the IT functional teams, third-party service providers, and the business stakeholders to ensure that the strategic direction, business project status, and other essential information is disseminated accurately and timely.
• Coordinate, manage, and monitor practices for continuous process improvement.
• Continuously review and stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices that may provide benefits to the business.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure that business strategy changes are evaluated, and any necessary IT adjustments are made and effectively communicated.
• Coordinate, manage, and monitor project dependencies to ensure the successful delivery of all commitments to the businesses.
• Cultivate positive working relationships with business stakeholders to maximize benefit to the business.
• Develop detailed business cases for all projects that will facilitate the creation of annual expense and CAPEX requirements related to the business.

Qualifications:

• Strong business and technology acumen.
• 5+ years of experience with software application selection, deployment, and support with proven ability to identify business challenges, design solutions, and develop of detailed business cases to support the defined solutions.5+ years of experience with software application selection, deployment, and support with proven ability to identify business challenges, design solutions, and develop of detailed business cases to support the defined solutions.
• 5+ years of experience related to ERP implementation and programmatic integrations to other applications.
• 3+ years of experience with establishing an application portfolio strategy and phase implementation of the strategy.
• 3+ years of experience with the deployment and support of middleware integration platforms.
• 3+ years of experience with the deployment and support of data quality applications and the ability to establish business processes associated with master data management to effectively maintain business data quality.
• Working knowledge of low-code development platforms and an ability to construct small applications to enhance business data/process challenges.
• Ability to construct SQL statements necessary for the extraction of information from common database platforms.
• Project management experience with an ability to manage multiple parallel projects and priorities. PMP certification a plus.
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work within a matrix environment with significant change and aggressive timeframes.
• Strategic thinking
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to communicate ideas and plans verbally, written, and with presentations.

Job Requirements:

• The position will require occasional travel
• Observes safety regulations, wears required safety equipment, encourages safeworking practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to Management.
• Work within established company guidelines.
