Key Areas of Accountability and Responsibility
- Technical specialist with fabrics and composites.
- Ensure that technical information meets Dyneema liability standards.
- Responsible for creating new applications based on Dyneema products in the assigned Market and obtain the required certification.
- The translation of Technical Market trends and customer specifications to product development criteria
- Setting up and maintain technical database (competitor information, technical information of applications)
- Handling of technical complaints and the coordination of activities around customer problems. Within assigned Market Application, identifies patterns and trends in technical complaints / problems, provides structural solutions.
- Carries out system cost analysis for the assigned Market Applications
- ADTS provides input to marketing plan in terms of technical developments and relevant end-user market developments / trends
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships and setting specs with customer, end users, certifying bodies, research institutes and further industry players
- Responsible for identifying prospects for (defined) market opportunities within the assigned Market Applications
- Provides technical and content information for publications and holds presentations at conferences.
- Gather competitor information and maintain competitor database with certifications / recommendations.
- Project leader of application development projects
- Provides input to product design (specifications).
- Sets new specifications / standards based on Dyneema products
- Establish Material Transfer Agreements on developmental materials
Authorities
- Set targets for product & application development.
- Request legal support.
- Makes proposals in certifying bodies.
- Assess technical information and build and maintain a knowledge database.
- Direct contact with customers and suppliers of application materials.
- Participates in symposia and conferences and gives presentations.
- Approach the market to define the needs and obtain the required resources for creation of new applications together with MM.
- Utilize external resources from test institutes, universities etc.
