Here’s what you will do…
An Application Developer II is responsible for helping generate systems and application solutions that drive and support business needs; performs audits and maintains current integrations. An Application Developer II understands the company internal systems and how they work together to supply information to the stakeholders and end users. Also, participates in company projects as the systems and applications advisor. This role is part of the Information Technology team.
Here’s more of what you will do...
Designs and develops new software and applications; and modifies existing applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.

Designs, codes, tests, documents and debugs new and existing applications according to industry best practices.

Writes, translates and codes software programs and applications according to specifications and end user requirements.

Trains end users to operate new or modified programs.
-
Prepares and writes reports for leadership and/or team members on the status of the programming process.

Designs and creates new data structures and ETL processes as required for solutions development.
-
Serves as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all development related issues, concerns, and needs.

Ensures applications integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure of the company.
Researches and recommends improved software development tools, algorithms and processes.
-
Presents ideas for software improvements, including cost proposals.
-
Writes programming scripts to enhance functionality and performance of company applications, as necessary.
-
Implements software improvements and upgrades as needed.
-
Monitors, analyzes, optimizes and improves existing applications and source code.
-
Documents, investigates, fixes and reports on software defects.
-
Routinely analyzes application performance against industry developments to determine options for improvement.
-
Conducts research on emerging application development software products, languages and standards to support current and future business strategies.
Collaborates on application design, development, and maintenance to ensure that the quality and functionality of the end product meets customer requirements.

Assists in defining scope and specifications for software and application projects.
-
Works closely with internal stakeholders to align and support priorities.
-
Consults with systems users to determine functional specifications and writes programming code to create or enhance functionality and/or appearance of company applications.

Implements software improvements and upgrades.

Consults with end users to create documentation relating to program definition development business requirements.
-
Documents software deliverables and end user specifications.
-
Analyzes user requirements and recommends solutions, envisioning system features and functionality.
-
Acts as the technology liaison for contract developers and provides necessary data structures and other support for their development efforts.
Designs, runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, insolating areas for improvement and general debugging.

Analyzes test results, formulates modifications and implements solutions to problem areas.
-
Tests, loads, and troubleshoots code for new and existing applications.

Here’s what you must have to be considered for this role…

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or Other Related Field

Three to Five Years Progressively Responsible Systems/Application Development Experience
-
Ability to Gather Requirements From Internal Teams in Order to Provide Results in a Customer Focused Environment
-
Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
-
Experience in Designing and Building the Database Portion of the Solution; Knowledge of OLAP and Relational Databases

Previous Experience Working with MS SQL Server and MSSQL Analysis Services

MuleSoft and/or Salesforce Certifications

Experience Managing Full Software Development Lifecycle From Problem Definition, Requirements Definition, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment.

Ability to bend, stoop, and twist is required for filing and general office duties.

Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount frequently to move office-related items or materials.

Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software.

Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate computers and office machinery.

Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various office equipment.

Continual hand/wrist motion is required to operate computers and office machinery.
