Creative Assistant


Overview


Creative Assistant position plays integral role in merchandise coordination and creative shoot needs in studio and on-location. Fostering a proactive and strong cross-functional relationship with Home Buying teams is essential. This position works closely with producers, art directors and merchandisers to ensure successful partnership and efficient workflow.


Responsibilities


  • Assist Merchandisers with executive level style-outs/room-builds by facilitating in the movement and coordination of product.
  • Ensure product is organized and ready when needed to ensure efficiency on shoots. This will include but not limited to:

o Partner with Production Coordinator on pre-production sample logistics: sample passing and sample returns.

o Working with sample coordinators, buyers and merchandisers to track down, organize and coordinate pick-up/drops of product samples for creative shoots.

o Be familiar with the product priorities and assortments to be a resource to creative team members on-set.

o Review product assortments with buyers and communicate any sample issues to creative team when necessary. Alternatively, communicate any sample issues with buyers.

o Assist in coordinating the transportation of product to shoots. In addition to props and production equipment.

o Responsible for keeping product clean and intact.

o Partner with Building Operations to manage sample storage facilities and ensure all items are properly organized and order is maintained.

o Work with building management and cross-functional teams to continue systems of organization and processes for the movement of samples - Spearhead keeping teams accountable.

  • Provide production support as needed in studio and on location including management of movers or production assistants.
  • Keep inventory of production equipment, supplies, set materials and props and source items as needed.
  • Responsible for assembling and coordinating all Carnets for international shoots. Includes liaising between external resources, government agencies, producers, merchants, and buyers.
  • Additionally, provide support for all photography, video and product efforts of the production team. This includes daily e-commerce shoots, creative + social shoots and larger creative team projects and internal photo needs.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong communication skills – person to person and digitally
  • Maintains positive relationships with cross functional teams


Job Skills


  • Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 40lbs
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to drive large trucks and vans
  • MS Office, Outlook
  • Microsoft Word and Excel. Working knowledge of PowerPoint, InDesign and Photoshop a plus
