Position Summary

Communication – Student workers will consistently communicate with both students and faculty. Their role will play a big part in obtaining, recording and being discreet with grades. They will also consistently be in communication with the Lab Coordinator to ensure the
Teamwork – Student workers will work together in setting up laboratory activities and maintaining lab materials. They will also work together to ensure all scheduled lab times are covered.
Position Summary/Job Description:
1. All Anatomy & Physiology Student Workers are required to assist at least one of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab sections and cover Open Lab hours.
2. Always follow all safety guidelines in the laboratory. Instruct and enforce these guidelines for all students in the laboratory at all times.
3. Clearly and fully understand the material to be covered in the lab session.
4. Be available and professional to students during laboratory periods and open lab sessions. Be prepared to help students with questions during the laboratory period or open lab session.
5. Follow all instructions given by the A&P Lab Coordinator. This includes lab set-up or take down and regular maintenance (which can include checking models, keys, bone collections, handouts, etc.)
6. Follow instructions given by the A&P Lab Coordinator to clean the laboratory at the end of each session or day. Report equipment, model or room maintenance problems to the A&P Lab Coordinator.
7. Proctor exams, grade tests, quizzes, lab assignments, etc. and record/post grades as requested by faculty.
8. Complete online time entry weekly before the deadline.
9. This job involves interaction and possible close contact with students in the lab.
10. This job posting is currently for up to 15 weeks from August 23, 2023 – to May 3, 2024.

Required Qualifications
Students must have successfully completed the Human Anatomy & Physiology course series BIOL 115, 116, 117 and 118. The courses must have been completed at Gannon, and not transferred credits.

Preferred Qualifications
Earning a B or above and have an informal recommendation from a lecture or lab
professor in all of the aforementioned courses.

Physical Demands
Ability to climb a ladder and carry heavy models.
