The
Coos County Circuit Court
(Oregon’s 15th Judicial District) is hiring an Analyst 2 (Court Analyst/Training Specialist) (with an Analyst 1 Underfill Opportunity).
The court’s jurisdiction:
The 15th Judicial District covers Coos and Curry Counties and has general jurisdiction that handles offenses from traffic violations to aggravated murder and civil cases from small claims and evictions to multi-million-dollar lawsuits and the full range of family law and juvenile matters. With 6 elected circuit court judges, 42 employees, 19,000 cases filed annually among the two counties, and a $7.7 million biennial budget, these two courts serve rural Oregon counties with a total population of approximately 85,000 people across the district.
The communities:
Covering just under 3,800 square miles, these two coastal counties offer rural communities among evergreen forests and rivers leading down to the Pacific Ocean on their western borders. The coastal scenery is incredible, as is the ability to live an adventurous life outdoors. Coquille is the county seat of Coos County, and Gold Beach is the county seat for Curry County. Both counties have small, charming communities nestled along the coast where golfing, shopping, photography and outdoor recreation attract thousands of visitors each year.
