Hillside Horizon for Teens is a 6 bed residential treatment facility that is geared towards helping adolescents who are struggling with their mental health and wellness. We will be opening our doors to patients in May 2022, and are looking for a someone who is eager to grow simultaneously with the company as it too grows. This individual will quickly become an instrumental part of the team and will have the opportunity to help with families in our community and across the country, gain invaluable experience, and much more. JOB TITLE & PURPOSE:

The individual ultimately hired for this position will take on the title of Associate Therapist (ACSW/AMFT). The Associate Therapist will conduct clinical assessments & treatment, as well as providing our patients with diagnosis and crisis intervention. In addition, the Associate Therapist will have caseload of their own, facilitate groups, and work hand-in-hand with the families by way of individual counseling sessions and family sessions.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Individualized Treatment Planning and Service Delivery: Oversees all aspects of care for clients on assigned caseload including assessment, treatment planning, individual
  • Counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, family and referent contact, discharge planning and coordination, and all required documentation.
  • Group Facilitation: Facilitates both process and didactic style groups for clients. May
  • be assigned to facilitate select groups for Northbound clients as well.
  • Family Interaction: Contacts family with clinical updates (with proper consent) on agreed upon cadence. Provides clinically informed communication to enhance family’s
  • Understanding and support of addiction and dual diagnosis treatment, progress, and
  • Continuing care recommendations. Conducts family sessions where indicated. Provides referrals for families as needed to community support services and resources.
  • Coordination: Participates in staff conferences to select, implement, and evaluate
  • Treatment planning and progress. Works across departments where needed to ensure a smooth course of care for clients.
  • Referent Communication: provides updates to referents for all clients on assigned
  • caseload.
  • Compliance: Charts all treatments and progress in accordance with Joint Commission, State, and internal regulations and procedures.
  • Schedule: Requires after hours and weekend work and assigned holidays as needed for adequate client care
  • Treatment Model: Must have understanding of the medical disease model of addiction, dual diagnosis treatment, and the 12-step recovery process
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the use of psychosocial assessment and psychotherapeutic methods and measures in a hospital, clinic, or substance use disorder setting. Significant experience with chronic disorders preferred. Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required as well as the knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, professional board standards as related to client treatment, client rights, and client/patient confidentiality.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Requirement Master’s Degree as MFT/AMFT
  • Current Adult CPR certification
  • Current Adult First Aid certification
  • Current TB Screen (or within 7 days of hire)
  • Current Health Screen (or obtain upon hire)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is primarily sedentary in nature, however some light lifting may occasionally be involved no greater than 20 pounds. Occasional walking, bending, and kneeling may also occur. Usual tasks do not involve exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissues. However, there is a risk of exposure to bodily fluids infections, contagious / blood borne diseases, and chemicals (cleaning agents). There is a risk of exposure to varying, unpredictable situations such as client behavior.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
