Job Family Definition:

Partners with the businesses to ensure that the capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting (e.g., profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, pricing, etc.) to influence business choices to drive cross-business initiatives (e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions). Drives the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, and long term) by analyzing trends within the businesses and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide goals. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where situation review or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Manages, supports and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant personal judgment to find the best method for accomplishing work and achieving goals. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the E2E Canada SC P&L ($4M/yr) and act as the senior finance advisor to the Canada SC operations team
  • Supports the AMS SC FP&A lead in deliverables tied to forecasting, month or qtr end management reporting, budget, SBTN (story behind the numbers) and ad hoc projects. Look for opportunities to partner with the AMS SC FP&A to enhance SC FP&A processes, tools and deliverables
  • Supports and direct local AMS SC finance initiatives to improve SC financial processes or enhance team analytical capabilities. In addition, represent AMS SC finance in regional or WW business programs
  • Provides complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to find the best method for achieving goals.
  • Consults with business managers to guide and influence strategic choices made within a broad scope.
  • Forecasts financial results within a broad scope.
  • Oversees business initiatives, typically managing analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
  • Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes.
  • Provides mentoring, support and guidance to co-workers and team mates.


Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong understanding and ability to communicate and present effectively to others, including business managers and executives, with a talent for influencing
  • Ability to work together as a collaborative team
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Good project management skills.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $83,500.00 - $192,100.00
