ETD Discount Tire & Service is looking for an alignment technician to join our team at our location at 1511 Route 23 South in Butler, New Jersey. We are looking for an individual that embrace our company environment of strong teamwork, positive attitude, motivation and hard work.

ETD is a family-owned company since 1945 with 9 locations. We are a full automotive shop (tire work and automotive repair/maintenance). We are looking for an experienced alignment technician to join our ETD Butler team and this role would be primarily focused on wheel alignments but would also include tire work, oil changes and other basic automotive service work as needed. The tire work required is mounting, balancing, installation, flat repairs, rotations, etc. and is as needed based on workflow/backlog.

Specific Mechanical Requirements

• Tire work, including rotations, flat repairs, mounting & balancing and TPMS
• Alignments and front-end work including camber kits, tie-rods, etc.
• Oil Changes and Other Fluid Flushes/Changes

Compensation: We are one of the few companies left that does not pay flat rate. We pay our alignment technicians $15.00 per hour a $4.00 commission for every alignment performed. If you perform 1 alignment per hour, your rate would be $19.00 per hour and if you can perform two alignments per hour your rate would be $23.00 per hour. We also offer overtime to all of our shop employees. Shop employees are also eligible for a year-end bonus depending on store profitability.

Work Schedule: All ETD locations are closed on Sunday. Employees work every Saturday and then four other days during Monday – Friday. We are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas with early closings on other days including Christmas Eve (we actually closed the last two Christmas Eve's all day).

JOB REQUIREMENTS: * A valid driver's license * Ability to lift an object weighing up to 60 pounds, to bend, twist, reach, climb, pull, push, stand and squat. * High school diploma or GED * Must be at least 18 years old * Three years of experience or more in mechanical / auto repair related work. * Ability to communicate effectively with customer, associates and management. * Ability to be a self-starter and detail orientated. * Must be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs
