POSITION SUMMARY: Modern Machinery is seeking a qualified individual for the position of an Aggregate Sales Specialist in Boise, ID. As an Aggregate Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for the coverage, retention, development and customer satisfaction of a designated territory. The individual in this position should be personable, highly motivated, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to all the forces around them – customers, suppliers, department employees, co-workers and manufacturer employees. It is extremely important that this individual have strong selling skills and interpersonal communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate Modern Machinery’s core values and promote the mission and vision of the company.
  • Follow all company policies, processes, procedures. Exercise safe work practices to contribute to the achievement of the company’s safety goals.
  • Analyze market opportunities within an assigned territory and assist Territory Managers in developing sales growth for all aggregate products including crushing, screening, conveyors, track, washing, water treatment, and other products.
  • Develop & maintain a call management plan with Territory Managers along with direct customer sales of aggregate equipment and key account management.
  • Assist Modern Machinery Company Management and other Aggregate Specialists in coordinating market plans, and recommendations for product inventory.
  • Supervise rental fleet of aggregate equipment in areas of responsibility to insure correct application
  • Assist product support group to help promote and improve part sales for associated aggregate products.
  • Provide training to Territory Managers and others within the company regarding aggregate products, applications, etc.
  • Provide customer studies using/sourcing aggregate production software flows such as Ag-Flow.
  • Provide customers with recommendations and solutions utilizing production software and industry knowledge.
  • Develop annual budgets for the aggregate product group business for sales and rentals in designated areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain good working relationships with manufactures represented.
  • Direct sales for all SPOMAC (fabrication / manufacturing) opportunities.
  • Support the sale process from prospecting, to presentation, to negotiating closing & documenting the sale.
  • Study & become familiar with all products that the company represents.
  • Attend training as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS/REQUIRED SKILLS:

DESIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 5+ years of industry experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Applicants must have at least three years of experience, in the aggregate industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:

  • Requires prolonged sitting with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Must be able to travel on a regular basis to include overnight stays.
