We are looking for a passionate and dedicated After School Teacher who has a passion for children and is experienced in the world of STEM.

Kalihi Union Church Preschool and Kindergarten is looking for someone who is creative and can successfully engage our students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics in After School activities.

Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans revolving around STEM for multi-age classroom
• Provide instructional materials
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills
• Provide appropriate supervision for children at all times
• Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures
• Help keep learning areas tidy and safe
• Provide a welcoming atmosphere for all students
• Support children with unique or individual needs
• Participate in faculty meetings, school and church activities, and professional development activities

Desired Qualifications:

• STEM Experience

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years experience working with young children in a licensed educational environment
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid food handling permit (Willing to obtain)
• Excellent communication skills
• Successful completion of background check, fingerprinting, and drug test
