DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Are you pursuing a career in education, childcare or management? This role may be the opportunity for you!As a Site Coordinator for the Salem YMCA After School program, you will help ensure the care, safety, and well-being of elementary aged children through on-site supervision, staff management, and consistent and effective communication, while overseeing a daily schedule of engaging activities. On a regular day, you will provide supportive coaching and guidance to staff and students, ensure licensed childcare compliance, carry out administrative duties, maintain the site space and program resources, and build strong relationships with parents and school district partners.

In addition, as a year-round position, during the summer season, Site Coordinators play a pivotal role in providing leadership to day camp programming. To thrive in this position, you have a strong sense of empathy and proven leadership skills. You have experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds, familiarity with summer camp programming and local state licensing regulations for childcare programs. You communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

You are able to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
