Young Rembrandts is a national award-winning after-school drawing program. Our innovative step-by-step process teaches children basic drawing techniques. The curriculum encourages children to express their imaginations while improving motor skills, patience, focus, and ability to stay on task.
Young Rembrandts is seeking energetic and enthusiastic candidates who have experience working with children, who have had the responsibility for motivating groups of children and guiding their behavior. Young Rembrandts will train qualified Instructors in the Young Rembrandts methodology and teaching technique, and are provided all lessons, supplies, and materials.
Young Rembrandts offers classes in public and private schools at the end of the regular school day, as well as in park districts and preschools. As a Young Rembrandts Instructor, you must be available to teach a minimum of 2-3 one-hour classes in the afternoon each week, with preference on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Instructors are assigned to schools and stay with the same school throughout the term. Instructors must have their own transportation.
Currently we are seeking teachers in the Algonquin, McHenry, Lake in the Hills, Cary, and Crystal Lake areas
Please note that this is a VERY light part-time position, approximately 2-8 hours per week. Hourly pay range listed is per one-hour class.
