The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of the Semmes Murphey physicians. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform clinical consults, order appropriate diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans for neurosurgical conditions within their scope of practice.

• Fifth year college or university program certificate for NP/PA
• Current TN license
• Current BLS and ACLS

• Two (2) or more years' experience as a licensed NP/PA
• Neurosurgical experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong working knowledge of patient treatment with a strong focus in neuro
• Proficient computer skills to process, store and retrieve health information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical practice software
• Effective communication, both oral and written, with the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations
• Can provide excellent customer service and manage difficult or emotional situations
• Ability to comprehend and interpret verbal orders and direction
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
