POSITION: Adult Education Student Support Services
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent
STARTING DATE: ASAP
WORK YEAR: 260 days
SALARY RANGE: $41,048 to $62,086 Annual

MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in federal financial aid processing and customer service.
Federal Student Aid training required.
Ability to pass a skill evaluation and compute mathematical data accurately.
Ability to operate a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, Outlook), EDExpress federal financial aid software, and NSLDS online reporting.
Ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.
Ability to handle diversified duties, multi-task and meet deadlines.
Cannot have been debarred or suspended by a Federal agency, or have misused
Federal, State or local government funds.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of
Education policies, U.S. Department of Education regulations and CVCC financial aid program policies and procedures.
DUTIES: Responsible for all financial aid duties including preparing, processing and maintaining financial aid applications, records for the Adult Education Department, the U.S. Department of Education and all required data submission for IPEDS.
- Organizes a functional system that maintains secure, safe retention and confidentiality of financial aid records in compliance with Federal regulations.
- Participates in financial aid training workshops, program information night and enrollment meetings.
Provides information to current and potential students about tuition, fees and financial assistance programs.
Provides financial literacy programming for students.
Verifies participant information according to Federal Student Aid Guidelines and monitors changes in financial aid regulations.
Determines student eligibility and level of financial assistance available, processes financial aid applications and reviews contracts with applicants.
Completes required financial aid reports for the Federal Department of Education and other funding resources and monitors changes in financial aid regulations.
Provides tutoring and support services to adult education students, Adult Diploma
Students, students requiring VA Benefits and students requesting ADA
Accommodations.
