Compensation and Benefits


Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4066 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $4066 - $5,752 per month

  • This full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week) position is temporary and expected to end on or before May 31, 2024. Extension of this assignment is contingent upon sufficient additional funding and satisfactory performance.
  • This position is not eligible for remote work pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy requiring that all work be performed within the State of California.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Transfer Admissions Unit in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment is responsible for providing admission and guiding transfer students in their transition to the university. The Transfer Admissions Unit admits incoming transfer students; guides transfer students regarding their admissions requirements and transfer credit applicable to baccalaureate programs; identifies requirements for their particular major; and advises students regarding appropriate pathways for meeting major and General Education degree requirements.

  • Rapidly acquire a working knowledge of the specific objectives of the admissions office and its relationship to operations.
  • Interpret and apply program rules and regulations.

  • Reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or job-related field
    • Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities of the position may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • One year of experience in professional Student Services work at the entry trainee level.
    • A Master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of professional experience

The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.

This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
