Admissions Counselor Job at Carroll College
Description: Carroll College, a private, Catholic liberal arts college located in Helena, Montana is seeking an Admissions Counselor to assist with driving recruitment efforts. This position reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and serves an integral role in the recruitment and retention of prospective undergraduate students. Specific duties/responsibilities include working with potential candidates in a specified territory, interviewing candidates and conducting appropriate follow-up and tracking. The astute Admissions Counselor will also assist enrollment management with developing communication and building relationships with key influencers which lead to increased visibility for Carroll College. Admissions Counselors are required to initiate outreach to all prospects and their families as well as conduct transcript evaluations to determine eligibility for enrollment.
Like all Carroll employees, Admissions Counselors are expected to represent the college and maintain positive public relations when attending recruitment events, college fairs, and other community events.
Admissions Counselors must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to deliver world-class customer service with a positive attitude. The position supports the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment and works closely with financial aid, student advising, and the registrar’s office.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience. Some experience in admissions or intangible sales would be helpful. Knowledge of higher education and the benefits of a small Catholic, liberal arts college is a definite plus.
