Purchasing/Receiving Associate Job description

The Purchasing/Receiving Associate is responsible for balancing quality, accuracy, and prompt/timely completion of final product with respect to data entry and receiving of client samples.

Responsibilities:

• Data entry of preliminary tests results performed by the lab technicians
• Initiate and ensure amended/duplicate report requests are being processed in a timely manner
• Receive client samples and ensure timely delivery of all temperature sensitive samples
• Track all deliveries
• Verify all information on the submission form against the samples
• Handle all samples appropriately for each test requested
• Deliver to the correct storage condition location within the lab
• Identify discrepancies and follow correct procedure for documentation
• Know and follow company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

· Advanced data entry skills

· Basic math skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks

· Ability to multitask

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and within a team environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

· Experience utilizing Oracle a plus
