Your Impact
We are currently hiring for several administrative support positions at Broad – including high-level administrative support for Broad Principal Investigators and institutional leaders, administrative and operational support for Broad laboratories, programs, and initiatives, and floating administrative support. All positions will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and may be eligible for hybrid work.

are the supportive force behind all that we do! As an Administrative Assistant, you will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills. You will have previous experience working in an office environment, performing administrative tasks and providing support to coworkers. You will have a strong ability to multitask, manage complex schedules, and meet changing deadlines which are all essential to the position!
Examples of typical duties for this role include:
  • Close calendar coordination, with proactive authority to make decisions on prioritization, and manage complex scheduling.
  • Coordinate group meetings, special events and catering.
  • Provide high-level administrative support by clarifying priorities and clearing impediments with stakeholders via email or 1:1 meetings, in addition to anticipating needs in a dynamic environment.
  • Respond to routine correspondence under own signature; drafts and proofreads correspondence and other written material on behalf of stakeholders.
  • Solicit agenda items from team members, help prepare material for distribution, take meeting notes, and track follow-up tasks.
  • Represent Broad in a professional manner, exercising judgment and discretion with regard to confidential issues and materials when responding to mail, telephone, electronic, and in-person inquiries, including addressing issues independently or making referrals, as appropriate.
  • Assist with onboarding and off-boarding logistics for team members.
  • Schedule interviews for open roles on the team.
  • Travel support, including making flight arrangements, booking hotel and ground transportation reservations.
  • Process reimbursements and expense reports in Concur.
  • Greet guests and visitors (when applicable).
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree as a preference)
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a professional administrative support position.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a strong rapport with supervisory, executive and other senior leaders, and influence without authority.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of and familiarity with Google suite (particularly Calendar, Docs and Drive), and must be comfortable learning new software and technology.
  • Demonstrates judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to accommodate different situations and requirements.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work by considering its risk, importance, urgency, and potential implications.
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt plans and priorities to rapidly shifting goals in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.
