The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI/DoITT) oversees all Citywide technology, privacy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and telecommunications to ensure the security of, and enhance, City operations and service delivery to New York City's residents, businesses, employees, and visitors. As the City's technology and innovation leader, OTI is responsible for operating, maintaining and securing IT infrastructure and systems that touch every aspect of City life from public safety to human services, from education to economic development crossing the full spectrum of governmental operations.
The successful candidate will serve as an Administrative Assistant to the Executive staff. This role exercises independent initiative and judgment performing exceptionally difficult and responsible supervisory, analytic or specialized administrative or management work related to the complex operations within OTI.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare correspondence of a personal/confidential nature;
- Handle matters of a sensitive, personal and/or confidential nature;
- Handle and screen telephone calls and make appropriate follow-up;
- Handle, receive, review and log all Executive mail of a personal and/or confidential nature; route mail;
- Oversee Executive calendars, including scheduling, notification to the appropriate individuals; any required follow-up;
- Provide support to Executive team;
- Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

Preferred Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Established proficiency in advanced functions of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Outlook and Visio;
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to interact with all levels of management;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative;
- Experience working for a senior level City government official is preferred.
