Community Mental Health Services is seeking a full-time receptionist to join our team in our Idaho Falls location. Under the direction of the office supervisors, the receptionist will perform a variety of office support tasks.

The receptionist is the first person potential and existing clients will see. Duties will include providing excellent service via phone and in person, referring clients to the appropriate persons, assisting in scheduling appointments, maintaining of files, and clerical duties as assigned. This position is an important link between the client and the staff, requiring the person to be willing to be a part of OUR TEAM. This position will work closely with all staff in support of direct client services and will exhibit flexibility with a welcoming and “can do” attitude. We are looking for someone who is willing to become a positive influence in the office, helping to make our team more upbeat and fun within professional bounds. Prospective employees will be friendly, energetic, knowledgeable, and professional. Previous office experience preferred. The receptionist will work to establish and maintain a warm and welcoming environment which promotes client comfort and trust.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the phone, and answering or referring inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Answers the phone, providing a welcoming and professional attitude, and using proper phone etiquette.
  • Promptly checks in clients and informs therapists or other office staff.
  • Keeps the office neat, orderly, and inviting.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by scanning in received documentation.
  • Assists in keeping client files up-to-date.
  • Protects patient confidentiality by ensuring protected health information (PHI) is secured by not leaving patient documents unsecured.
  • Makes phone calls to schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Fax any necessary information.
  • File paperwork.
  • Complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Create basic forms (ie: Contact lists, staff list, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of HIPPA.
  • Must have a willingness to be self motivated.
  • Must have a happy and easy to work with disposition.
  • Must be organized and prompt.
  • Must be familiar with Google Apps.
  • Must be a willing and happy team player.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
