The Barowsky School of Business is seeking a part-time instructor to teach a course in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program during term 5 (May-June) in 2023. The course is seven to eight weeks with remote instruction on Tuesdays and in-person, on-campus instruction on four Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Teach a three-unit course at graduate level
- Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students
- Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework
- Uphold academic performance standards and integrity
Course Description
MBA 5407.1 HY: Business Analytics and Marketing Research (Term 5, May 15-June 24, 2022; Remote instruction every Tuesday from 7-9:00 pm and in-person instruction on four Saturdays from 8:00 am-12:00 pm)
Examines methods and practices for designing research strategies to support decision making. Students learn and practice qualitative and quantitative research methods through developing and implementing a research plan and generating a report relevant to a specific business or industry. Other common marketing research methods such as observational studies and in-depth interviews are explored. Additionally, students will gather, view and interpret external data using statistical analytics. This course is only available for graduate students enrolled in the Barowsky School of Business. Class will meet online every Tuesday and in person on four Saturdays. Class dates: Tuesday 5/16 online, Saturday 5/20 in person, Tuesday 5/23 online, Tuesday 5/30 online, Saturday 6/3 in person, Tuesday 6/6 online, Saturday 6/10 in person, Tuesday 6/13 online, Tuesday 6/20 online, and Saturday 6/24 in person.
Required Qualifications
- MBA or graduate degree in marketing or business with an emphasis in marketing
- Significant professional industry experience in marketing.
- Google Suite: Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Slides
- Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Zoom

Preferred Qualifications
- PhD. in a marketing
