Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer patient, staff, and isnurance company calls triaged by the Patient Collections staff.
• Process unpaid clinic claims with corrections and/or appeals.
• Research and process incorrect and/or incomplete claim posting.
• Process refunds of insurance and complicated patient overpayments.

Experience Needed

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits and understanding of copays, coinsurance, deductibles and denail codes required.
• Attention to detial and ability to prioritize independently.
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a busy office environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
• Prior experience using Athena biling system preferred.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 1 years experience in a medical setting, and at least 2 years of customer service experience.

Compensation

• Compensation based on experience; starting at $17 an hour.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
