Accounts Receivable Specialist

Summary/Objective

Process, research, and resolve exceptions relating to customer invoices and payments. Ensures all credit and accounts receivable responsibilities are executed according to established policies and procedures and in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner. Provides ongoing support to dealers and internal customers and identifies and implements process improvement opportunities.

Essential Functions:

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (The following examples are not intended to be a comprehensive representation of all duties an employee may be asked to perform.)


Process Responsibilities:

  • Review hold list of customer orders and release per policy
    • 20% above current credit limit
    • All others escalate to Lead or Supervisor
  • Process payments on pre-paid accounts.
  • Contact open term customers that are ten days past due.
    • Note any payment arrangements before releasing additional orders.
  • Alert Supervisor of any accounts that need credit limit adjustments and communicate decisions to customers.
  • Clear invoices with payments.
  • Utilize reporting tools to run A/R Aging each week.
    • Provide write-up of top 10 accounts and send to reporting associate.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Answer all voice-mails in a timely manner and answer all customer inquiries.
  • Notify customers of unused credit balances and duplicate payments.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements.
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate compliance with national and international regulations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in use of ERP based receivables software
  • Knowledge of the principles of credit and accounts receivable collections.
  • Proficient in use of computer and software such as Word and Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
  • Good problem resolution skills
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Work independently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrate initiative to seek out information and details necessary to complete a work assignment
  • Demonstrate professional conduct in difficult and stressful situations

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration desired.
  • Fluent in English, demonstrating a full professional proficiency.
  • Previous SAP experience is highly desired.

Work Environment:

  • Broomfield, CO: Hybrid – 2 days remote Monday & Friday and 3 days in office Tuesday – Thursday
  • May require occasional travel

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual base salary range: $54,000-$60,000
  • Bonus target range: 5%
