Responsible for collecting payments from customers and reconciling customers accounts. Contacting customers for payment resolution, negotiating payment arrangements, reconciling payments, and resolving payment discrepancies. Working directly with customers to reconcile their accounts and keep them current. Working with collection agencies if necessary on past due receivables. Producing reports as needed by management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee cash receipts staff and review all month end reconciliations produced by that staff
· Maintaining and reporting on receivables to management
· Actively manage customer records to ensure receivables remain under 60 days aged
· Month-end reconciliation reports of AR Trade accounts, cash collections accounts and credit card accounts.
· Determine credit limits for new customer and increases/decreases for existing customers
· Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reserves, accruals, and provisions
· Perform ad hoc research and analysis of information from the ERP system and research of customer balances
· Prepare information for various financial audits, tax reporting and accounting related/ad-hoc projects
· Cross-train additional functions in the accounting department to support other team members
- Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Exhibits outstanding work ethic, a self-starter that takes initiative and prioritizes tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral; capable of interacting with all levels of the organization as well as customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with very good MS Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while exhibiting capability to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle projects in an efficient, collaborative and time sensitive manner
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail while exhibiting ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt rapidly to changing priorities – flexibility, teamwork, collaborative work style and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
