Accounts Receivable Associate Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Accounts Receivable Associate, working under the direction of the Assistant Controller, is a key member of the finance team managing our billing & receivables through rapid company growth. The Accounts Receivable Associate provides administrative and financial support by invoicing customers & posting cash receipts accurately, timely, and in adherence to company policy in order to ensure proper accounting for sales & customer balances and accurate financial reporting.
• Generate customer invoices from NetSuite and Accellos, including verifying accuracy of charges
• Investigate billing issues in NetSuite to determine cause and proper course of action to correct in system
• Set up customer contract pricing information in NetSuite
• Post customer payments by recording checks, ACH payments, and credit card transactions in system and applying to customer balances
• Investigate discrepancies in payments received compared to billing and communicate with customers, salespeople, and operations managers to determine validity
• Resolve valid & authorized customer deductions by entering credit memos or adjusting entries
• Collect on past due accounts by sending statements and communicating with customers via phone, email, or mail
• Provide reference information to potential vendors of our customers as requested
• Prepare sales reports and other analyses in Excel
• Correspond with customers and salespeople as needed
• Maintain filing system for financial information and records
• Handle any minor tasks related to the role

Accounts Receivable Associate Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Two or more years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
• Previous experience with NetSuite preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of general accounting principles

Accounts Receivable Associate Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

This is largely a static role in an office setting. The ability to perform repetitive bending and walking is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. occasionally.

This role is office-based and occasionally operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (usually 38) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production-type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for duration of shift when necessary.
