Overview:

As an employer/owner at MEC, you will monitor payments from customers, perform recordkeeping, follow up on customer discrepancies, and provide accounts receivable reporting. Additionally, this role will be responsible for other ad hoc tasks and projects to develop, interpret, and implement financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning, internal controls and reporting.

  • Process accounts receivable and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
  • Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments, and from customers.
  • Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
  • Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.
  • Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit line.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Performs other accounting functions as directed by Accounting Manager.
  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
  • Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
  • Performs ad hoc tasks or projects to support the Finance function as directed by the Accounting Manager.
  • Performs other accounting functions as directed by Accounting Manager.
