TITLE Accounts Payable Coordinator

REPORTS TO : Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the accounts payable business operations of the organization and management facilities. The position must be confidential and sensitive to company financial information.

Qualifications: A minimum of an associate degree in accounting. Familiarity with accounts payable processes including entering invoices, account coding and printing checks. Computer skills in Excel, Word and specific billing or financial software. Excellent interpersonal, communication and telephone skills. Must possess an excellent command of the English language, written and spoken. Ability to work and communicate effectively with all staff members and vendors. Understands and practices the highest level of confidentiality in regard to company financial information. Complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processed and procedures for accounts payable- including but not limited to accurate and timely invoice entry, correct coding and electronic storage of invoices for Minnewaska Community Health Services and management facilities.
  • Work remotely as needed to support and have a presence at multi-site locations as it relates to all facets of accounts payable
  • Maintain a general ledger for Minnewaska Community Health Services entities or management facilities as necessary.
  • Assist with internal audits as needed as it relates to all facets of the finance department for all locations.
  • Assist with the analyzing and comparing variances in budgets and payrolls for all locations.
  • Assist with Audit Preparation for Minnewaska Community Health Services entities and management facilities as needed.
  • Assist with Medicare and Medicaid cost report or government reporting as required by law
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate dependable, professional work habits.
  • Complete required continuing education per facility guidelines.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities required by OSHA Hazard communication, HIPPA, QAPI and other organizations.
  • R espond to emergency codes, ie: fire
  • Other duties as directed by CFO or CEO
