Accounting Supervisor - Lease Accounting FOOD MANUFACTURING Job at Ascendo Resources
Ascendo Resources is seeking an exceptional Lease Accounting leader for its esteemed client, a FORTUNE 500, publicly traded brand name in the food manufacturing industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible over facility related accounting for leases, asset retirement obligations, and property taxes.
- Responsible for lease accounting transactions in the lease accounting system
- Supervise one accountant and oversee entire lease accounting process.
- Collaborate with business partners to capture all new leases
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual close processes as required including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Provide accurate and concise commentary on balance sheet and income statement fluctuations on assigned accounts.
- Prepare schedules to be provided to external and internal auditors.
- Complete ad hoc analyses, projects and tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 4+ years professional experience within public accounting and corporate experience
- Strong technical accounting and SEC reporting
- Experience in effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills capable of interacting with staff, peers, and senior leadership competently and effective
