Accounting Specialist Job Responsibilities:

• Track and make sure we receive payments from all invoices sent in order to complete collections through phone calls of customers/vendors.
• Interface with multiple departments regarding orders, purchase orders (PO’s), and Government PO’s (GPO’s).
• Create Invoices to send to our PO customers.
• Supports accounting operations by filing documents, reconciling statements, and running software programs.
• Maintains accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
• Maintains database by entering information and communications into our online PO and order database.
• Verifies GPO customers have received their product(s) and bills them accordingly.
• Accomplishes accounting and Rehabmart’s mission by completing related tasks as needed.

Accounting Specialist Qualifications/Skills:

• Familiarity with Quickbooks Pro Accounting Software
• Proficiency in office based products such as Word, Excel, Google, Drive.
• Reporting skills and data entry and computer skills required.
• Strong phone ettiqute and comfort talking with custmers/vendors regarding outstanding invoices/POs.
• Proficient with using an adding machine as well as home key style of typing.
• Organized, attention to detail, productive, and dependable.

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in a related discipline is an asset.
• Previous accounting experience preferred.
