Our company is seeking an Accounting Manager (Controller) to join our team. At Arrow Renovation, our team is focused on giving our customers the perfect home remodeling experience and building awareness about how our services can satisfy their home improvement needs. We’re looking for an experienced and versatile accounting manager who is highly self-motivated, positive, versatile and is customer service-focused with corresponding and communicating with customers.

Our Accounting Manager Controller is responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly closing process, weekly billing to clients for services provided, collection of accounts receivable, weekly and monthly reporting to Principals, annual budgeting, bank reconciliations, payroll and taxes associated with the process and annual tax preparation for CPA.

Tasks & Responsibilities of this Role:

  • Daily Following & Development of the Accounting Calendar
  • Daily Deposits – Bank, QB, LP
  • Daily Data and Invoice Entry
  • Daily Job Set-ups
  • Daily Purchase Order Assignments
  • Daily Insurance Compliance
  • Daily HR Management to Include: Hiring/Firing, Health Insurance, 401k
  • Weekly Purchase Order Reconciliations
  • Weekly Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Weekly Billing Meeting with Production and Sales
  • Weekly Cash Management and Reporting
  • Weekly Review of Open Purchase Orders
  • Weekly Billing Statements - Fridays
  • Weekly Job Close-out Packets and Cap-Outs
  • Weekly Spread Analysis
  • Weekly Payable Reporting
  • Weekly Payables to Vendors, Suppliers and Sales Reps (Cap-Outs)
  • Weekly Payroll for Employees & Accounts Payable on Thursdays
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliations
  • Monthly Break-Even Analysis
  • Monthly Financial Statements due by the 10th
  • Monthly tracking of all assets over $500
  • Annual Preparation of 1099’s
  • Annual Budget (Enter into QB & LP)
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Supervise any clerks
  • Accurate and timely production of all financial information
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
  • Assist the Marketing department with a range of projects and campaigns as needed.

Skills, Qualifications and Demands:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Credibility, ethical, full disclosure and clean financial history
  • Confidential, understand ethical standards of a CPA
  • Ability to handle payroll, including the mental conflicts that are associated with the responsibility
  • Conscientious about the timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
  • Accountability for specific performance
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order
  • Good GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
  • Exceptional work ethic (long hours, including some Saturdays)
  • Able to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex financial information
  • Good command of English language and able to proofread work
  • Able to read and interpret contracts
  • Detailed, organized and communicative
  • Understanding, yet persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization
  • Responsive team player with the ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
  • Task and goal-oriented and capable of functioning in an entrepreneurial and corporate setting
  • Able to prioritize and work with multiple employees and management

Hardware/Software Requirements:

Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization:

Education Requirements:

  • Accounting degree or certification preferred
  • 5+ years of Controller level experience required
