Position Purpose

The Accounting Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance department.

What you’ll do

• Prepare or review various account reconciliations
• Report the status of accounts and discrepancies
• Produce needed daily/monthly/quarterly reports from core and ancillary systems
• Prepare various monthly reports for use by other departments
• Assist with other department tasks and projects as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Where you’ll shine

• High school diploma
• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial transactions
• Two or more years of related experience
• Banking experience desired
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and effective PC skills including electronic mail, intranet, and industry standard applications.
• Compliance awareness and knowledge
• Knowledge of federal banking regulations
• Proficient computer skills
• Detail oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve
• Organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working Conditions:

The individual will be required to be flexible during standard bank operating hours. Business travel may be necessary to attend training opportunities.
