What You Would Do

• Bring accrual accounting experience and practices and make recommendations to improve accounting procedures, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.

• Work collaboratively with all departments to gain a deep understanding of our business operations, budgets, and financial performance.
• Analyze data to provide insights that drive informed decision-making and help identify opportunities for growth.
• Communicate financial information in a clear and engaging manner, using your unique voice to engage and inspire our team.

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including, but not limited to bank reconciliation and general ledger accounts updates.
• Process payroll, oversee A/R and A/P accounts, oversee inventory, and participate in job cost tracking and analysis.

• Work with external accounting firms and outside auditors in preparation for tax payments
• Create a fun and engaging work environment that encourages creativity and innovation in accounting practices.

What We Need For This Role

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Desktop 2022+ and other software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and try new things
