The Connell team is growing and looking for an outstanding Life and Health Account Manager to work closely with our sales producers to service and support our clients with their Life and Health insurance needs. The primary functions of this position, is to support their Senior Life and Health Account Manager with the workload assigned to that team. Maintain the care and service of clients assigned to them and help maintain good relationships with our carriers. Process incoming documents in an organized, timely and professional manner.

Primary Functions

The primary functions, of the position, are to service and retain existing clients and either handle or assist in marketing new and renewal business.

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for quoting, sales, processing, submission and follow-up on all in-house individual business whether new, renewal, rewrite, policy change or amendment.
  • Processing, submission and follow-up of new, renewal, rewrite, policy changes and amendments for individuals.
  • Processing, submission and follow up of renewals, policy changes and amendments for groups.
  • Receives policies, then processes, scans, attaches and then distributes to proper person.
  • Individual quoting for Insurance Consultants when needed.
  • Process all incoming mail and faxes, distribute if necessary, scan and attach.
  • Document, scan and create activity for all client service work.
  • Miscellaneous research for Insurance Consultants, as requested.
  • Agent/Company licensing, updates, etc.
  • Other issues that may arise or be requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to work with staff, clients and vendors in a calm, professional, friendly and patient manner. Excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail. Knowledgeable in the use of computer and software needed to perform duties. Ability to communicate policy information in a clear and detailed manner, be a team player and apply general insurance knowledge.

Requirements:

Minimum Job Requirements

Education / Licensure / Experience

College Degree or equivalent work experience and insurance agent license in Life and Health.

One (1) year previous work experience within an insurance agency is preferred.
