What you'll be doing:
Summary

  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong professional relationships. Assists customers with new orders and re-orders, offers suggestions based on customer wants/ needs as a means of increasing sales, advises of status of orders in process, furnishes information on new products, and sends product literature. Processes returns and maintains standing order and blanket order contracts. Courteously and promptly resolves customer questions and problems or properly refers them to appropriate personnel. Completes related records, reports, and documentation. Participates in tradeshow/ sales events as scheduled. Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as required

  • Customer problems are politely and quickly researched and resolved. Professional business relations exist with customers and assistance is provided as needed.
  • Effective working relations exist with Company personnel. Assistance is provided as needed.
  • Management is appropriately informed of area activities.

  • Assumes responsibility for the accurate entry of customer orders.
  • Processes orders, enters into computer and, sends to Production Department.
  • Acknowledges faxed, emailed, and mailed orders. Verifies pricing, discounts, billing and shipping addresses, credit status, and informs customers of any problems. Notifies customers of product backorders and anticipated availability.
  • Maintains files, including master file and standing order files. Updates addresses.
  • Researches and resolves problems with orders.
  • Sends sample shipments to customers. Allocates products when in short supply.
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively performing miscellaneous customer service functions.
  • Sets up and processes new customers. Sends literature and/or price lists.
  • Processes customer returns. Determines nature and reason for return and assesses whether product is returnable. Corrects and reships incorrect orders. Processes related customer paperwork and credits. Sends returned product to Quality Control for check.
  • Maintains standing order and order contracts relative to cutter PO’s, leases, bids, etc. and pending orders. Contacts customers regarding renewals and prepares and types bids and letters.
  • Informs customers of credit holds.
  • Conducts customer surveys and inbound/outbound call projects.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with customers.
  • Effectively offers suggestions based on customer wants/ needs, increases sales by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-ons, etc.
  • Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously
  • Keeps customers informed of Company policies, procedures, and status of their orders and accounts.
  • Politely obtains and conveys information as needed and maintains the Company's professional reputation while providing superior customer service.
  • Recommends measures to improve sales methods, customer growth, and quality of product.
  • Skilled at face-to-face interaction and presentation of all Stahls’ products.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and management.
  • Assists and supports Sales Team and area personnel as needed.
  • Coordinates with the Accounting Department regarding customer credit status.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Responsible for reporting to department management information gained from tradeshow attendance.
  • Networking with fellow exhibitors to explore potential sales, educational avenues, and potential for advertising.
