Job Summary:
Altair is looking for Field Sales Professionals to grow Altair’s business in multiple locations by expanding existing business at named large aerospace OEM’s and defense customers. Altair’s vision is to radically change the way organizations design products and make decisions. You will be part of a team that fulfills this vision via data analytics, simulation, predictive analytics, and optimization leveraging high performance computing. Your primary responsibilities will be to initiate software and services business with companies that are currently Altair’s customers uncovering new business opportunities within them. You will be part of the sales team reporting to the Regional Managing Director.
What You Will Do:
· Identify prospective opportunities within existing accounts and connecting with the right decision makers
· Learn and understand of individual prospects, customer goals and challenges
· Work with field technical team to deliver solutions specific to each prospect and customer
· Demonstrate value of Altair’s solution, negotiate and close business
What You Will Need:
Basics:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related
· 3-5 years of Technical Sales experience
· Previous experience building customer relationships
· Ability to leverage skills and knowledge of people around you
· Understand and strategize based on the competitive landscape
· Highly effective with web, professional social media and sales tools
· Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation
· Willing to travel
· Technically astute
· Good business acumen and people judgment
· Government contracts require U.S. Citizens only
