Naugatuck Glass LLC is currently seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their team in Naugatuck, CT 06770.

Naugatuck Glass LLC is a premier producer of small glass components. We have been serving our customers since 1927. We specialize in mirrors for ladies' compacts, industrial inspection mirrors, flat glass applications for industrial gauges, automotive and marine instrumentation as well as a picture frame and information display devices. For the aerospace and avionics industries, Naugatuck Glass LLC produces commercial optical components with applications for instrument cover glass and metalized edge components for hermetically sealed instruments.

About the role:
We are looking for a competent, motivated, and ambitious Account Executive to join our team. The Account Executive will act as a liaison between the management team and clients, ensuring customer satisfaction. If you love finding new business opportunities and managing relationships with existing clients, this job is for you! You’ll be directly responsible for the maintenance and expansion of our customer base.

We are expecting you to have skills and experience in sales and in customer service, and you are self-driven and result oriented.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.

  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss how their needs could be met with specific products and services. Maintain relationships with existing accounts by proactively calling to anticipate their needs.
  • Identify and quantify the business opportunity for each current customer as well as potential customers. Execute visits to current customers and potential new customers to maintain long-term business relationships and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Learn the competitive landscape - who they are, what they supply, and why they win the business. What business do they have that we could win back? Understand development trends and customer market needs. Create a Customer Service Plan to match sales strategies. Provide price quotations, and sample requests.
  • Attend Trade Shows, Industry Events, and maintain a presence on LinkedIn.
  • Manage customer supplier web portals to confirm new and or modified ship date releases and their respective quantities. Review new schedule demands with appropriate manufacturing supervisors before acknowledgment to the customer. Review customer open order reports confirming product ship dates, expected quantities, and push-out/pull-in requests.
  • Notify customers of any logistic concerns or shipment delays in meeting planned ship dates.
  • Quote price credit terms and other bid specifications. Negotiate prices, terms of sale, and service agreements. Ensure pricing accuracy on all transactions, and resolve all pricing discrepancies. Generate customer quotations, and manage price negotiations.
  • Write sales contracts and process sales orders.
  • Remain current with email blasts to current and potential customers on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a Sales and Account management environment.
  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree. (Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field preferred)
  • Outstanding knowledge of customer relations management and MS Office.
  • An ability to grasp clients’ needs and increase customer engagement.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
