UAB Medicine - UA Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) Birmingham, AL

Responsible for assisting access services management team with coordinating access services encompassing the standardization and integration of enterprise processes spanning the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation, P.C., the UAB Health System, and certain non-UAHSF/UAB clients. Primarily responsible for measuring and monitoring data integrity, quality assurance and providing on-site training and support related to Patient Scheduling, Registration, Referral and Authorization, Point-of-Service Charge Entry / Collections, UAB Hospital Bed Reservations, and Scheduling and Registration Billing system; responsible for coordinating front-desk deposit reconciliation, audits, and assisting access services managers and clinical directors with resolving reconciliation issues. Works continually to achieve positive customer relations; assists with other quality monitoring and training and participates in denial management initiatives as needed.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or a minimum of three (3) years directly related experience.

Preferred: Previous frontline medical office, hospital or business experience involving direct customer service with a paying customer; High-level of creativity and proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, Excel Spreadsheets, E-mail and Internet applications.
