WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Access Center Licensed Therapist is responsible for the planning, implementing and coordinating the activities and services for individuals in the access center clinic and/or outpatient mental health clinic. The Therapist’s number one priority is the safety and welfare of each client.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours weekly and includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide clinical oversight and brief services in a triage setting for members of the community seeking services including: children, youth and adults (i.e. ages 4 and up) who are experiencing mental health or substance use issues
- Provide services in access center, agency office or telehealth
- Provide crisis counseling, clinical assessment and brief interventions to determine treatment or referral need
- Provide support to bachelor level assessors related to diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A Master’s in Psychology, Social Work, or some other relevant human services discipline required
- Licensed in the State of Florida in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychologist or Mental Health Counseling
- Minimum 2 years of mental health experience
- Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida
- Level 2 background screen and a negative drug screen
