What You’ll Do
The Access Center Coordinator will:
  • Understand Access Center Specialist role for outpatient services and inpatient admissions (for Goshen). Be able to step in and fully operate in that role as needed.
  • Manage flow of clients through the Open Access Center.
  • Help ensure DCS and other important partner referrals are managed properly, including delegating responsibilities, picking up tasks as needed, filing and handling paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Process administration for location's access staff (PTO, scheduling, timecard approvals, etc.)
  • Help support director with communication between Oaklawn leadership and Access Center staff as well as Oaklawn and community partners.
  • Be one of the first persons to greet open access walk-in clients and get them started on the intake process.
  • Receive the escalated outpatient clients or cases as a next level of management throughout the day.
  • Keep communication board updated throughout the entire open access process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services field preferred with one year of experience.
  • Without Bachelor's degree, experience to equate to 4 years of combined education and experience in a mental health, social services or other healthcare or related setting required.
